NJ DHS Continued Benefits Amid COVID-19
Mental Health Phone During COVID
Dear Friends / Colleagues,
In light of the current COVID-19 crisis, I am writing to remind you that our office is here to serve as a resource for all New Jerseyans with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families.
As always, we are working closely with our colleagues throughout State government – including those in the Departments of Children and Families, Education, Health, and Human Services – as well as our colleagues throughout the larger disability community to share information and to connect people with the services and supports they need and serve.
To that end, I am writing to you for two specific reasons:
1. To provide you with our office’s list of useful COVID-19 resources for you to use and share with others. It is attached.
2. To tell you that — as of a few weeks ago — there are now two of us in the Ombudsman office. Christine Bakter (copied) has joined the team as our office’s Associate Director (and my right hand).
You’ll meet and learn more about Christine in the days and weeks to come, but I wanted to make sure you all know that she, too, is a resource available to you.
So, please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time, for any reason.
Thank you.
Be well.
Paul
