Attachment, Bonding and Trust: The Missing Components in Modern Autism Practice

The effects of an insecure attachment in childhood are well known to have long term effects on relationships. Yet, this is often an overlooked part of autism treatment in favor of skill acquisition. This video will examine the relationship between behaviorism and attachment styles and identify the short term and long term effects on relationships and quality of life.

Younger siblings of children with ASD are known to be at higher risk for developing language delays. The Infancy Studies Lab at Rutgers University-Newark has created an engaging interactive acoustic experience with the aim of helping baby siblings of children with ASD develop better pre-language skills known to be important for optimal and efficient language acquisition.
