A deep thank you to Christine Sanpietro MSN, CPNP-PC,PMHS from Children’s Specialized Hospital for presenting at the RWJMS Autism Awareness Day Lunch on April 9, 2019. The event was co-planned by the Disability Awareness and the Pediatrics Interest Group and NJACE was happy to organize the logistics. Two student interest groups were involved as well as many interested students attended the talk.
The presentation focused on the topic of recognizing/diagnosing autism in pediatric patients, and how to give considerate care to patients with autism, a very important topic to share among medical students.
