Richa is currently a second year graduate student under Dr. Torres with an Excellence Fellowship from the SAS Dean for doctoral study. She has years of experience in working with autistic children, and is creating methods to perform individualized research dependent on different sensory capabilities. Her research interests lie in understanding the impact of sensory input and sensory changes on the brain and body, and how to understand the connection between the two, among various populations. She is also heavily involved in the New Jersey Autism Center of Excellence and trying to improve the connections between researchers and the autistic community.
