The NJACE has leased the ThermoFisher Scientific CellInsight CX7 high content imager to promote neuroscience research and facilitate high throughput imaging and morphometric analysis. The CellInsight CX7 virtually eliminates the risk of bias or human error and is capable of image acquisition, processing, neuronal morphology analysis, and data retrieval on a sample in under 5 minutes. Importantly, this system is capable of imaging fixed and live cells in a monolayer using wide field optics as well as thick tissue sections and organoids using confocal microscopy. For more information about the CellInsight CX7 and its potential applications click here.
The CellInsight CX7 is set-up at the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine at Rutgers University, Piscataway. We’re excited about making this technology available to researchers across the state for free. A training workshop will be provided for those interested in using the equipment.
