On October 17 and 18, members of the Children’s Specialized Hospital team presented at the 36th Annual Autism Conference at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City. Heidi Spiegel, Long Term Care; Adrienne Robertiello, Special Healthcare Educator, Autism; and Christine Sanpietro, APN Educator, presented two 75-minute sessions titled, “Autism and Health Care in 3D for Pediatric Patients” and “Autism and Health Care in 3D for Adolescent and Adult Patients.” Each presentation was panel-style to illustrate needs, challenges and solutions for safely meeting the health care demands of individuals with autism spectrum disorder. The program was co-sponsored by Children’s Specialized Hospital and the New Jersey Autism Center of Excellence.
