The NJACE team exhibited at the Morris-Union Jointure Commission Developmental Learning Center Spring Transition Fair on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, alongside partner Children’s Specialized Hospital. The fair had vendors from the state providing a wealth of information for families from DDD to Recreation to Healthcare and more. Additionally, Officer Robert Clapp spoke regarding the importance of educating all community members, public servants and first responders about individuals with IDDs and the safety risks associated with this population. Everyone appreciated his thoughts and perspectives as an officer and a parent of a daughter with special needs. This event helps NJACE discover more gaps/barriers the community has in regards to services and resources needed for individuals with ASD. We hope to continue helping in any way we can! Thank you DLC for the invite, as always.
