This brainstorming event is aimed to learn from and inform parents of children up to 5 years old and/or with a recent diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We have a goal the find the gaps in what families need, and what information is missing in this stage of life prior to school entry. Surveys will be given before and after the event, as NJACE is aiming to understand what is missing from families when they first receive a diagnosis, and what information needs to be better conveyed. We aim to provide helpful information on what steps to take upon receiving a diagnosis, and how to navigate the early years.
